January 11, 2018: February is all about love, chocolate and appreciation. The Grinnell-Newburg School Foundation (GNSF) is combining all three with an opportunity to honor our teachers and support the GNSF mini-grant program.
This Valentine’s Day, GNSF invites you to write a note of appreciation to a teacher that has played a key role in a student’s life. For a donation of $20, GNSF will pair that teacher love note with a small box of chocolate truffles and hand-deliver the sweet combination on February 14th to the teacher being honored. The chocolate treat will last but a few moments but the sentiments will last a lifetime.
We invite you to reflect on the positive impact teachers have on students every day. Now is the perfect time to express your appreciation while supporting an organization that assists teachers and students in the classroom. Since 2006, the Grinnell-Newburg School Foundation has sponsored over $300,000 in mini-grant opportunities that have benefitted all students in the Grinnell Newburg School District. Grants have been awarded for projects such as innovative furniture for classrooms, enriching music experiences, student leadership opportunities, enhancing literacy learning and much more.
To support the GNSF mini-grant program and honor a teacher that has made a difference in your life or the life of your child, please send $20 and your note of appreciation by February 2nd to GNSF, PO Box 344, Grinnell, IA 50112. You may also donate online at GrinnellSF.org by clicking on Donate. Please write Send a Little Love on the memo line of your check.
